Oct 27th, 2008 by Shelley Lester

Over the last 10 years, the U.S. and countries around the world have seen an increase in violent school tragedies. Schools at all levels across the country are faced with how they would respond if an event similar to the shootings at Columbine High School or Virginia Tech University were to happen at their schools.

Events such as this remind us why crisis communication is so important in today’s world. Having knowledge and experience in emergency risk communications can play a significant role in transforming the unexpected and help you respond appropriately in a crisis situation.

To learn how you can be prepared for the unexpected, check out TVG’s most recent edition of StratigemTM on emergency risk communications.
